• Professor Paul Burton, Chair in Genetic Epidemiology, School of Population Health, University of Leicester, UK (March 2004).
• Dr Heather Cordell, Wellcome Senior Research Fellow, Cambridge University, UK (June 2004).
• Dr Beverly McNamara, School of Anthropology, University of Western Australia. Dr McNamara is a Medical Anthropologist and spent a 3 month sabbatical with our group working on the ethical, legal, and social context to our work in population-based genetic epidemiology (July 2004 - December 2004).
• Professor Lon Cardon, Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics University of Oxford, UK (August 2004).

• Associate Professor Christoph Lange, Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, USA. Raine Visiting Professor (September - October 2005).
• Professor Thomas Hudson, President and Scientific Director, Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, Canada (November 2006).
• Professor Robin Bunton, University of Teeside, UK. Raine Visiting Professor. Professor Bunton is a sociologist specializing in the impact of genomics upon society, and spent a 3 month sabbatical with our group working on the ethical, legal, and social context to our work in population-based genetic epidemiology (November 2006 - March 2007).
